| Standards are established requirements or specifications put forth by a governing body or a group of individuals. Standards in the Plastic Optical Fiber industry are instated to ensure such issues as quality, an international size, measurement methods or ways of production remain constant. These standards have been within the POF industry since the early 90�s where they were first put forth in the Japanese Industrial Standard for measuring methods. Since then a significant amount of standards have been made regarding POF by numerous groups. |
